Ansible is a popular Open Source system management framework that can be used to manage a huge array of different types of equipment, from network switches to storage subsystems to operating systems. Terraform is also popular in system administration circles for providing "infrastructure-ascode", often as part of a development team's CI-CD environment. This session will cover some of the "good, bad, and ugly" of using Ansible and Terraform to manage z/VM systems, the guests that run on them, and the partitions and machines on which they run.
